Where and how to apply
For citizens of Russia

Russian tourists generally require a tourist visa. It can be obtained through the official electronic system or upon arrival, if Russian citizenship and the specific point of entry are permitted under the current visa regime.

To reduce the risk of being denied boarding, it is recommended to obtain an eVisa in advance.
  • passport valid for at least six months;
  • at least two blank pages;
  • eVisa or means to pay for the visa upon arrival;
  • return ticket;
  • proof of accommodation;
  • yellow fever certificate when arriving from a country at risk.
In practice, tourist fees often amount to approximately:
  • single-entry visa – from 30 US dollars;
  • double-entry visa – from 45 US dollars;
  • KAZA UNIVISA – 50 US dollars.
The amount of the fee must be checked directly before payment.
  • single-entry – valid for one month;
  • double-entry – valid for three months;
  • multiple-entry – valid for up to six months;
  • KAZA UNIVISA – for trips to Zimbabwe and Zambia.

The final cost is displayed in the decision or during the application process.
The Zimbabwean Immigration Service warns that the type of visa and the amount of the fee may be adjusted during the review.
The application is submitted through the official Zimbabwe eVisa portal.

The following will be required:
  • passport scan;
  • photograph;
  • accommodation address;
  • booking confirmation;
  • itinerary and travel dates;
  • return ticket;
  • sometimes proof of financial means.

The average processing time is approximately seven business days, but the authorities recommend submitting the application at least three weeks in advance.
Zimbabwe divides foreign nationalities into several visa categories:

  • visa-free entry;
  • visa upon arrival or electronic visa;
  • mandatory prior visa issuance.

Vaccination

Children
Recommended vaccinations
Recommendation against yellow fever
Mandatory vaccination for entry
The certificate requirement when arriving from a country at risk applies to children from 9 months of age.
When traveling to Victoria Falls, it is necessary to check not only the rules of Zimbabwe, but also the rules of Zambia if crossing the border is planned.
For tourists, the following may be recommended:
  • hepatitis A;
  • typhoid;
  • hepatitis B;
  • measles and other routine vaccinations;
  • rabies – for trips to remote national parks, prolonged contact with nature or limited access to medical care.
For visiting Zimbabwe itself, the vaccine is usually not recommended, as the country is not considered a standard yellow fever transmission area.
When traveling directly from Russia or Europe, a yellow fever certificate is usually not required.

It is required for travelers from 9 months of age arriving from countries at risk. The rule includes transfers lasting more than 12 hours at an airport in a country at risk.
Before traveling, we recommend consulting your doctor.
