Vaccination

Children
Recommended vaccinations
Recommendation against yellow fever
Mandatory vaccination for entry
A yellow fever certificate when arriving from a country at risk is required from one year of age.

If the child is under one year of age and the itinerary includes a country at risk, it is necessary to obtain a written medical opinion in advance and clarify the entry procedure with the carrier and the receiving party.
For Tanzania, the following are usually considered:
  • hepatitis A;
  • typhoid;
  • hepatitis B;
  • routine vaccination against measles, tetanus, diphtheria and polio;
  • rabies – for travelers visiting remote areas, caves or planning a prolonged safari.
For most standard tourist itineraries in Tanzania, the vaccine is usually not recommended.

However, the need may be considered individually for prolonged stays, intensive contact with mosquitoes or trips to certain areas with potential risk.
When entering directly from Russia, Europe, the UAE, Qatar or another country without a yellow fever risk, a certificate is usually not required.

A certificate is required for travelers from one year of age arriving from a country at risk, including those who spent more than 12 hours in a transit airport in such a country.

Routes through Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia should be checked particularly carefully.
Before traveling, we recommend consulting your doctor.
